I Knew You’d Come
by Cheryl Huston

I stand here black and silent,
But if you listen you will hear,
The voices of men and women
Whose names are resting here.

They see your reflections
As you stare into The Wall.
And when you stand there crying
Their tear drops with yours fall.

I knew you'd come to see me,
I knew that you'd be here.
I knew you'd not forget them,
Your tears show that you care.
