Equipment and Exhibits

Chinook helicopters have been
frequent visitors to Freedom Fest

Cobra helicopters have been
the most recent visitors.

This Huey helicopter was trailered in by VVA
Chapter 243 from Lee's Summit, Missouri.  It is the
66-000970 that flew in Vietnam.

The Army Reserve out of St.
Joseph and the National Guard
out of Maryville have always
been very helpful in bringing in
equipment for the event.

In the early Freedom Fest's, when the event was held uptown, the
parade was a favorite exhibit.

Medal of Honor Recipients Gary Wetzel and
Sammy Davis ride in a classic car owned by a
Skidmore resident.

Local Boy Scouts that belong to the
Mic-o-say Dancers often danced on the
street during the parades.

Throughout the years of Freedom Fest, there have been many
different exhibits.  These are just a few.

The POW/MIA Balloon brought
to us by Freedom Flight out of
St. Cloud, Minnesota, has made
many appearances at Freedom
Fest.

Motorcycle shows are always a big hit.  Even the
kids enjoy bringing their bike up to the show.

The Quilts of Tears were on
display showing how many
veterans have been effected by
Agent Orange.

Live Bald Eagles have become one of the
most exciting exhibits each year.  Moose
has been coming to Freedom Fest since
1996.
