FREEDOM FEST 2003

Members of Cub and Boy Scout Troops 68 and the Girl Scout
Troop 308 helped present the colors and participated in
opening ceremonies.

John Burnam was a dog
handler in Vietnam.  He talked
about his book and his
experiences.

Samuel Smith, Sr., a WWII Navajo
code talker, made his first visit to
Skidmore.  He enjoyed talking to
the school kids.

Rob Calloway, the All American Prize
Fighter from St. Joseph, Missouri, took a
break from his training for his heavy
weight title match, to visit Freedom Fest.  
He is pictured here with Carla and
Duston Wetzel.

Jim Logsdon (left) pictured with Michael J.
Martin,(right).  Michael also made his first visit
to Skidmore in 2003.  Michael is a Vietnam
Veteran that travels all over the country
entertaining.

The Platte Purchase Players
were on hand to demonstrate
life during the Civil War.

Several Civil War living history
groups were on hand to give
demonstrations.
