Heaven’s Brightest Star


She was a gracious lady, loving mom, devoted wife.
Her grandkids were the light in her life
a true legacy of love.


Those of us who love her, struggle to say goodbye.
We can’t imagine this big old world
without this woman in it.


She’s been an inspiration to us all,
because of how she lived.
The bravest soul that we all knew,
courageous to the end.


I know that when she reaches heaven
And meets St. Peter at the Pearly Gates,
He’ll look over that big old Book of Life
And say “Peggy Jo come right on in”.


God has a special angel, joining him tonight.
She was a shining light on earth
In heaven she’ll be the brightest star.
