| Freedom Fest is a free, family-oriented patriotic celebration held the weekend after Labor Day each year in the small Northwest Missouri community of Skidmore. Typically three days in length (Friday-Sunday), the event features music, top speakers on veteran-related issues, special guests, displays, ceremonies and lots of fun. 2009 marks the 22nd consecutive year for Freedom Fest. This year's event will once again formally be only three days, Friday (Sept 11) through Sunday (Sept 13), however this year we will also have the American Veterans Traveling Tribute Memorial on display all week (Sept 10-13). This is an extraordinary multiple-war memorial as well as a 9/11 memorial and an art show. It is very rare to have this huge memorial in our area and we hope you bring your family to pay homage to our heroes' sacrifice. FREEDOM FEST 2009 WILL BE THE LAST FREEDOM FEST. WE HOPE YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ATTEND AS WE SALUTE AMERICA AND HONOR HER VETERANS ONE LAST TIME HERE IN SKIDMORE. |
